DS is nearly 10mths and now has his four front teeth. Have tried giving him brush (puts in the wrong way up only) singing a ditty and doing it. Have tried being a plane. He wouldn't notice me doing it alongside him yet. Other than inventing a double ended toothbrush what else can I try with my stubborn little sweetheart!

When is the best time to try it? I'll try that tomorrow AM, thanks. Do you use toothpaste?

I give lottie a toothbrush that lights up, let her do it in the bath, give her a big crab mirror and then I clean mine while she cleans hers, while singing 'brusha, brusha, brusha' etc from Greece!

hold him down and go for it! My dd loves it now but at first I was a little inept and she took advantage of that and pushed it away.

this is the way we brush our teeth, brush our teeth, brush our teeth
this is the way we brush our teeth
on a lovley morning/evening with mummy/daddy

this song (i'm sure youcan guess the tune) works for us. the verses go "this is the way we scrub at the back/front"

alternatively we go through all he's eaten since we last cleened them and say "oh no, it's some pasta, quick get the kiwi fruit off these teeth etc etc". for some reason this is very funny

then we let him do it himself. he does it when we do ours, we let him brush ours after we've brushed his...

at 10 months we used to let him suck/chew the brush in the bath and then we'd finish off.
