Is my 7 mo sleeping too much?

My DS will sleep from 7.30pm - 7am. Then has daytime naps from 9-10.30am, 12-1.30pm and then around an hour 3-4pm, maybe more. Then sometimes he even has an extra 30 mins around 6pm. This adds up to around 16 hours sleeping.

When he's awake he's very active - a real wriggler! And is very bright and alert.

Is this normal?! Most of my friends have babies who only have 2 daytime naps of around 30 mins - an hour.

Hurrah for your sleeping star! As long as he is bright and alert when he's awake I wouldn't worry and make the most of it. Bet all your friends are very envious. ( I would think 30 mins for a 7 mo is very little actually)

be grateful!

my DS at that age slept 7.30-6am (often with a night waking or two) and two half hour naps. It was a nightmare.

I now have 8 month old twins who sleep 6.30pm-8.30am and have two 1.5/2 hour naps a day. It's BLISS! Means having twins is easier than having one DS!

It's luck of the draw, and you've drawn a long straw!

Yes, be grateful and glad!
