Teething at 11 weeks?

My 11 week old DS has started drooling, chewing his fist like his life depended on it and refusing his bottle even when he is obviously hungry. He's also getting quite grumpy.

My mother thinks he might be teething. I can't see anything coming through but I understand it can take a while before they actually appear.

suggestions?

Probably teething - my dd had her first tooth at 4 1/2 months and the hv reckoned she was teething at her 6 week check, with the symptoms you describe.

One thing that worked for me was to give her chilled milk, I think it helped sooth her mouth. (along with the usual teething gel / calpol / ashton and parsons, though not all at once!). Or, put a wet flannel in the fridge and let him chew on it before you try to feed him, the cold might sooth the gums enough for him to eat.

my DD started at about 10 weeks. She is 19 weeks now, still drooling, chewing ect but no tooth yet.

We got her these:

they were great. She could chomp on them to relieve her gums and they were light enough/easy for her to hold.
