.... and it is hell on earth (well, maybe not quite but dd is 10 months, and I am sure that the dummy means more to her than anything else). I go back to work next month and her sleep is always completely dependent on whether the dummy stays in or not. So, tonight, we ditched it. My plan is cc, because that worked well for dd1 who is now nearly 3, but I had forgotten quite how horrendous it makes you feel. I am not sure if I want vibes or advice or earmuffs, but a happy sleeping baby would be great.
I should have done it before now but I wanted to make sure she wasnt teething/poorly/etc before I went for it......

I'm sending you good luck vibes!
You are very brave, I have a 10 month DD and I keep saying to DH that I want to try and wean her off the dummy... but I don't feel brave enough as it helps her sleep and settle herself back to sleep when she wake in the night.
I'm watching this with interest, you may well help me take the plunge!

Lol I hope so, as I know deep down that in the long run it is the best option. It took is 1hr5 mins to settle her, and am sure she is only still asleep now out of exhaustion, so will update again soon. x
