13 week old whinging

My 13 week old DD is so whingy at the minute, her sleep is really disturbed too, waking up a few times at night when she used to sleep virtually through. During the day she whinges after being awake for about 30 mins, clearly tired but it's very difficult to get her back to sleep!!

I know she had a growth spurt last week and has just about learnt to roll from back to front (but not the other way) - does this sound like just a developmental thing?

The only thing that seems to calm her is being rocked back and forward in her pram, holding her actually makes it worse Confused

It's absoutely the norm for that age and will pass, hard I know when it's been a tough day but keep telling yourself it's not forever Smile

Thanks Gibbon, I do keep telling myself that it just grates when she whinges all day long...still it's not crying I suppose!

I know, it's very tiring, especially when you have had broken sleep the night before. Going for a long walk can really help sometimes Smile

You're right that helps loads. Long story but the problem is I was very ill after she was born and still not fully recovered. I struggle to get out of the house because I'm still quite weak, but it's the one thing that helps (her and me!). I just keep telling myself my strength is coming back and soon we'll be out a lot more..

Thankfully she's actually asleep for over 45mins just now, which is a record for this time of day. Hopefully she'll be a bit happier when she wakes up!

Oh bless you, it must be really tough not being able to get out if you are feeling stir crazy.

Hope you are fully recovered soon Smile
