newborn's chin

We don't know if this is normal or not, the hospital and doctors could not say, but our new little one has quite a receding chin/jaw. Looking at other pictures of other babies it does appear quite common but does it resolve itself over time? there appears to be little information about it and we just need some reassurance. He's feeding and breathing fine and there's no Syndrome or congential problem. Thanks.

Our DS at birth had a very receding chin. He still has slightly but so does DH. I'm sure you have nothing to worry about.

Hi nookies DS also had and still has a very receded chin at now 20 months (bad overbite too). He had a Paed check at 7 months he didnt show any concerns at DS's chin nor has our doctor. The chin tends to grow from what I've heard quite rapidly as the kids get older but don't quote me on that.
