teething

just wondering if anyone out there has any useful tips for me.my son is 10 months has two bottom teeth and top two are half way through he is now grinding his teeth together really hard and the sound is horrible i do give him his dummy which stops him but i am trying to wean him off that now any suggestions.i really dont want him to chip his teeth.

I recall my son doing this quite a lot, but I do think it is common. No harm was done and no-one advised me to do anything to stop it (I can't think of any way of doing that anyway).

From memory it was only a stage, didn't go on too long. I shouldn't worry too much.

dd did a lot of teeth-grinding and she didn't manage to chip anything! she's still teething and grumpy every so often but has stopped the grinding. I think it's just a question of time.

thanks for your comments he is my 4th child you would think things like this wouldnt worry me so much now.
