So some of you may have read that tomorrow I am supposed to be going on my long awaited one night away birthday treat, which was given by my DH about 2 or 3 years ago.

My DD now has a temperature, which is not unusal. She will get a temperature frequently for between 48 hours and 3/4 days. Earlier in the year she had a couple of bouts of tonsilitus and the last time she had a temp was not even 2½ weeks ago. So it is not unusal to find that she has a temperature, it is her thing.

She is a bit more clingy than usual, but otherwise she is herself.

In addition my DH is complaining endlessly at how he has to get a reluctant DD out of bed on Wednesday morning without me there (she will cry and winge endlessly until I come and get her and won?t let DH even touch her). I had a go saying he should be encouraging me to go telling me to enjoy and relax!

I am just so stressed and upset now that I just think it better that I cancel.

Parenthood really does suck sometimes. The kids had lunch on Thursday and I forgot to wash their hands. I thought, live a little, wish I hadn?t!!!!!

Appart from that the nursery wouldn't take her this morning coz I've given her medicine.Angry

Don't cancel if DH is there. It will be good for both of them to bond (or appreciate you more Grin).

If it is only one night you cannot be too far away, so if there is a crisis you will be within easy reach, but it does sound as though you are not too worried.

Wouldn't worry too much about failing to wash their hands; children are pestilent creatures who will find germs anywhere. Probably completely unrelated.
