dD is 10 months and still has no teeth

My older ds was slow to teethe but he had a couple by now

Should I or do I even need to worry about it?

it doesn't stop her eating ... I am actually very impressed with what she can gum her way through

TIA

My dd1 cut her first tooth shortly before her first birthday. In her photos she has 2 tiny little bottom teeth. I remember mentioning it to the HV and she said no need to worry under a year.

Imagine my suprise when dd2 cut her first 2 bottom teeth at 12 weeks old!

In my experience dd1 suffered a lot less cutting them that bit older than dd2 did getting them so young so hopefully it will be the same for your later teether.

dd1 didn't have teeth until she was 13 months... she's nine now and there are no problems

my nephews didn't get their teeth till after they were 1yr old - think one of them was 14 months. There are no worries about their teeth now.

ds was like this then blammo teeth at 11 months

he is 14 months now and has 11 teeth i think

a friendès son had no teeth till 18 months

no worries

she should be able to gum through anything, dd was BLW from 6 months with no teeth and it was no impediment to happy chomping

ds1 13 months for first tooth- ds2 14months.

Now they are 10 and 8 and still only have 3 and 1 'big' teeth.

Your DD will be fine.

CrystalQueen · 11/08/2010 20:45

DD - 15 months before first tooth, which was a molar. Don't worry.

I didn't get any teeth until fifteen months, too. I have the full complement now! Smile

My nephew turns two in a fortnight. Not a tooth in his head. We've given up expecting them now!

marriednotdead · 12/08/2010 23:02

DD got her 1st at 11 months, DS was a bit better but still has 6 baby teeth at 13.5 which are not even slightly wobbly Confused
Dentist reckons its not a bad thing.

ds got his first one at 13 months.. he too could gum his way through everything and developed a very strong gag reflex. he now has 5 at 18 months and they dont seem to have caused him as much bother as ds1 who got them at 6 months. they'll be through before you know it. also ds2 didnt walk till about a month ago.. just takes his time with stuff i guess

Thanks for more messages

It seems hugely variable but everyone seems to get them!
