Suggestions for toys to have in the buggy

My twins are 14 months and I never have enough (any) toys when we're out and about. Everything gets either chucked out onto the pavement - or so dirty that I have to take it straight off.

Any suggestions for things to tie onto the buggy that are entertaining and not going to get trashed too easily?

I attach a lot of my DD's regular toys using links otherwise everything would end up on the ground at some point (she's also 14 months) she also likes some of the buugy books especially the ones with buttons that make a noise when you push them. We
also have some little squeaky wooden toys which are Velcro'd to the toy bar. I tend to alternate the toys to stop her getting bored as at the moment she REALLY doesn't want to be in the pram, she wants out to run about!
