my 3 month DS seems to be teething early. his hands are constantly in his mouth and he gets them in quite far. it gives him somecomfort but also seems to have the unpleasant consequence of making him vomit. anyone else have any experience of this?

When did he start doing this? What was he like before?

The reason I ask is that ds1 used to do this and I attributed it to teething but it turned out that he was doing it because he had bad reflux.

He did also teeth very early (but the first tooth came through well after he started doing this) so may have been partly that too, but once the reflux was medicated and under control, it seemed to happen less with subsequent teeth.

hi ib he's 13 weeks, he's been putting his hands in his mouth for a couple of weeks and been vomitty for the same time, but its only this week i realised there seemed to be a pattern. before this he hardly ever used to vomit except when he took a bottle (he was mixed fed for 5 weeks but then i managed to get him to be fully breastfed).

for some reason this thread got posted twice on mumsnet, ive had a reply on the other thread and am going to keep that one updated now (should anyone be interested in keeping up the discussion). that one is here
