Regression after potty training?

DD was 3 in March and has been potty/toilet trained since Easter. She took to it straight away as we waited til she was clearly ready - was dry within a few days and dry at night within the week.

All greatSmile

But the last week or so she has had lots of wet knickers. Several times a day about half the time. I am fairly sure she hasn't got a water infection - she has had one once and she has no discomfort/stinging, is well in herself and urine not smelly.

Not sure if it is accidental, attention seeking, laziness, or what. SIL has 2 girls and says they seemed to have a blip like this - just wondered if anyone else has experienced it - and tips please!

Mine was exactly the same.

We did it when we thought she was ready and not before. She took to it straight away also. That went on for several months actually and then she had a week or 2 when she went back. It's completely normal.

I don't think you need to worry about why so much as how you handle it when she does.

I wouldn't ever be cross, but I would be disappointed. I'd just say 'i thought you were a big girl etc'. All stuff i'm sure you've done anyway.

So my advice I suppose isn't advice. It's more reassurance that it will go back to normal. :)

That will do nicely thankyou!

She is so not bothered thoughHmm

'Oh my knickers are only a bit wet, they will dry in the sunshine.'

Let's hope it doesn't last too longSmile

i had such a blip - i increased her drinks and watched for signs that she needed a wee (i think she hadn't been drinking enough to need a wee at the usual times i asked her..) ..also she (oddly) was choosing to wee on slides..so the plastic slide went...and after a week of vigilance no more problem.

she was laughing at the wetness on the slide and saying 'Oh dear' stopped that.

GGrr she had a wee and a poo about an hour and a half ago before her bath and has now just soeaked her pyjamas with a big wee.

Up til last night she was still dry at night but last night she wet herself at about 10.30pm. Got a pile of her piddly washing next to the machine nowSad

I'd get her urine tested just in case

DD had an UTI with no obvious symptoms other than wetting
