I've already been on several other threads tonight about pretty much the same thing.

My dd is 3.8 and to say she's strong willed is the biggest understatement of all time. She's quite behind with her speach, she's definitely behind in her social skills, ie she tends to literally jump in a room and repeat again and again her name. She thinks that just because there's another boy or girl around they're automatically her friend and it kills me cos they look at her like she's mad.

She can be rather aggressive. I'm often getting hit, kicked or bitten.

She took a while to settle into pre school because she was quite far behind socially but never the less she was heading in the right direction. Today however, she's been hitting(for the first time at pre school) not doing anything that she's told and having monster tantrums.

I'm genuinely terrified that if it happens again then she wont be allowed back. It's a rather strict pre school and they don't allow this sort of behaviour atall.

Can anyone relate, help etc?

Sorry it's been so long

what do preschool say ? It does sound a little immature behaviour for her age but if she has speech problems it may be frustration at her inability to communicate. Has she been referred for assessment at all ?

Well pre school knew she was obviously behind but after a week she improved so much and they were really pleased with her.

She had the odd day still where she'd be grumpy etc, but overall it was ok. Until today.

I haven't taken her to the GP cos everytime I make my mind up to take her she really improves. That's the part that doesn't make any sense. She can come on so much in just a few days and then all of a sudden she goes back several months.

Really don't know what to do.

Apparently i'm quite behind in my spelling aswell. Anywhere i've put 'speach' I mean speech.
