7 week old baby not pooing

Hi - my DD2 is 7 weeks old and she hasn't had a poo since last Weds. She is almost exclusively breastfed - unless I am struggling at the end of the day, when my husband will give her a bottle of formula.

Should I be worried about the lack of poo? When she did last go, it was v runny and yellow. And previous to this week, it had only been once every 2-3 days.

How is she in herself?
If she seems ok, then she is fine.
BF babies often don't go for ages.

She seems to be ok - although wow she does some stinky farts!

Fine in a bf baby as long as she's okay, happy, not straining etc.

BM is easy to digest and a complete food. They often use all of it so there's no waste.

Thank you! It's reassuring to hear. I'm sure the next poo will be explosive when it does arrive!

Possibly, yes. I seem to recall a cleanup exercise involving over 30 wipes...

Don't panic if the situation lasts for quite a long time. Two weeks isn't unheard of (actually my DD1 went over two weeks on more than one occasion). Just think of the money you'll save on nappies.

My cousin's BF baby would regularly go for two weeks without a poo, and then do an absolutely MASSIVE one Grin. The babe is now 9 and totally fine.

Great! Thank you!!! I won't put her in any nice clothes until the poo has appeared!

If you want to speed it along I was told to drink lots of orange juice so it gets into the milk and helps shift it! good luck x
