Just pineapple. Can't get her to eat anything else, but she seems to have an endless appetite for pineapple. I'd estimate she's eaten about half of one by now, and no sign of slowing down.

She's 21 months, I'm 31 weeks pregnant, and don't have much fight in me at the moment. Is it going to make her ill eating that much pineapple?

Probably give her the squits TBH.

Just offer her one meal, whatever you're having. If she eats it, fine, if not, also fine. No fight required. A missed meal (or several) wont do her any harm at all.

If she's hungry she'll eat. Don't fight, stress, push. Keep it up.

You're in danger of this becoming a major power issue. Knock it on the head while you still can.

I wouldn't worry too much. As long as she's drinking and it doesn't go on for days. There are worse things she could crave.

Then let her eat pineapple.

DS used top be the same with raspberries.

Will she have milk before she goes to bed?

YUMMUM01 · 03/08/2010 18:16

yeah mine used to be obsessed with rspberries!! I don't think they gave her much love back though.

I seem to remember being told I did the same with oranges once.... and just the once - the consequences will hopefully put her off doing it again.

Oh, is it a one off? I'd go with it too in that case.

I read the OP as this being the latest installment in an ongoing struggle. Re-reading I'm not sure how I got that idea...

Sorry, all went a bit tits up shortly after I posted. DD's been in a general grouch all day and eventually not even the pineapple was keeping her happy.

It was just a one off really. I don't generally get too stressed if she doesn't eat much every now and then, it was just the combination of refusing to take even a bite of her actual dinner then demanding bowl after bowl of pineapple!

We'll see what the nappies are like tomorrow eh?
