Sleeping bags etc

Hello I am a first time mum and have been wondering when to introduce DD to blankets rather than a sleeping bag (she's 11 months so still too young I think) and also what age do most children go into a bed? I'm guessing about two and a half or three?

Thanks in advance!

I kept gro bag til dd went into a bed at 2.2. Remember blankets can be kicked off however tightly they're tucked in which can mean disturbed nights when lo wakes up cold. No reason to ditch sleeping bag.

i wouldnt bother with blankets (ever!), ds went from a sleeping bag to a duvet when he moved from his cot into a toddler bed (he was quite young, about 18months, but he'd got to big for his cot (small size one).

you need a covering that will stay over them, as i dont think they learn to cover themselves over in the night until they're about 3.

Thank you!
I think sleeping bags are fantastic but keep getting the 'we never used them in my day' line from my mother!

Got that line too - even found my mum tucking dd up with several blankets on top of bag as "she must be cold in that thin thing" - it was 23 degrees in her room! Also remember children can get out of beds very easily - I wouldn't rush getting dd out of cot

have just bought DD a lovely big cot bed which I'm hoping she will stay in for a very long time

ds stayed in a sleeping bag till he was 2 1/2 and went into a big bed

DS is still in a sleeping bag and he's nearly 2 and a half too.
