Double bed for toddler?

I'm not sure if this is the correct area but here goes.

We've bought a lovely thomas bed for our 2 year old after coming out of a cot bed.

However, he doesn't seem to like it!

He's always been an "active sleeper" turning around lots in the night. I found him one morning asleep on his rug. We've now blown up a matress in his room.

Just wondered if anybody else has this problem and what they have done about it. We are now thinking of buying him a small double bed - but for a two year old?

Any advice greatly received!

We have one and it's fine. Not an active sleeper like yours, but she always wanted to be in our bed (not just when we were in it - she just preferred the big bed) so we got her one of her own.

My 3 year old DS has a double bed- well actually it's a bunk bed with a double on the bottom. I didn't want to give up my spare bed for guests so this seemed the best solution. It's fine, works well.

My DD graduated from cot to double bed, now in single bed! Never any problems, :-)

My dd is 5 and in a double bed. She's not particularly restless though. She absolutely loves her bed!

We had same problem and sold lovely ikea bed and he now sleeps in a double bed - just go with it!!!

Wish we had room for one. DD has been co sleeping in our super duper king or whatever it is and I'm worried about her going into a single. Her room is too narrow for a double though otherwise I would.
