7 months old sleep regression

dd used to sleep from 9-5 and then after a feed until about 7 or 8.
the last two weeks it was more like feed at 2-4-6-8...
she is breastfed and blw (still tiny quantities of food). during the night she really drinks (boths sides each time she wakes), is not settled with water at all, formula only from dh but that is only possible on weekends.
would it help to get more food into her?
she happily eats a few spoon fulls of my plate each meal but again only tiny quantities so far.

My experience was that a fairly solid late meal was key to a good night's sleep. Our 'magic formula' was half a well-mashed banana thickened up with some baby rice. Worked like a charm Being up every 2 hours isn't good for anyone, I don't think.

We never found that solids at that age made any difference whatsoever - dd fed every two or three hours through the night until she was about 8.5 months.

It's more likely that she's working on a developmental spurt which is messing up her sleep and causing her to need more milk.

I would stick with letting her self-regulate both milk and solids. IIRC it isn't till around 9 months + that they start to realise that solids fill them up.

I sympathise, though, as my 7 m.o. DS wakes between 1 and 4 times a night, although he's been doing that for ages now. He is BLW and often eats loads of solids, as well as having frequent milk feeds in the day.
