Nappy Leak (Newborn 7lbs)

Humphrey10 · 26/07/2010 23:04

My baby whenever he pees lieing down has the pee escape out of the nappy at the rear at the high point up his back. Any tips on how to stop this or am I just not putting on the nappy tight enough (size 1 pampers)?

Thank you

I fold over the top edges front and back which can help, also found huggies better fitting.

You could try washables, too - we found disposables far leakier than washables.

i used to have to fold down the top for ds1 too, or if its really too big i think you can get premature nappies which are smaller but for 7lb he should be okay in the size 1? although depends on the build, one of my friends just used the premature nappies even though her dc was not early but just small build

Was about to say the same as helenwombat - make sure his willy is pointing down - DS would still get wee up his back at 2 if he'd stuck his hand down his nappy and rearranged himself!

We found that DD leaked loads in Pampers. Huggies were slightly better, but we never looked back after trying Sainsburys own brand nappies.
