7 yo suddenly started bedwetting

My 7 yo DD was recently started wetting her bed on a nightly basis. She has been dry for years but we've recently noticed that she's been getting up very early and will be fully dressed by the time we get up, her wet pyjamas are then stuffed at the bottom of the laundry basis.
She can't explain why it's happening. We're trying to limit the amount of water she drinks after dinner but it's having no effect.
We've taken her to the doctors and there is no sign of infection.

We're getting to the point where we think we'll have to buy night nappies for when we go on holiday but are worried that this would make things worse? What should we do?

I also think that there may be something troubling her. It must be very embarrasing for her to have this happen - hence the hiding the wet pjs. Poor thing! Hopefully you can find out what it is that is troubling her.

Hope you have a lovely holiday! I would probably not take nappies along - the change of scenery might be helpful. Putting on nappies may make her feel like a baby and that she is failing in being a Big Girl.

Thanks noraa and Number4. It's so hard thinking that something is troubling her. We're two weeks into the holidays and having a great time.
We have just been to the grandparents though and she wet the bed there and on a stopover on the way back, so I'm dreading our holiday. The nappies may not be a good idea after all as her brother will probably tell her friends!
