What are symptoms and is treatment available?

For both of those questions you need to refer to a doctor. Tourette's takes many forms and an amateur/on-line diagnosis would be unwise.

Or look at a dedicated website. My DH has a form of Tourettes and found very good relevant information on the web.

DS1 has tourettes.
It started with a jerk of the head, he said his hair was in his eyes, so we got a hair cut but the head jerk never went away, this was followed by a finger click and a squeak.

We took him to the GP and were sent to the hospital pediatric team, it took a while to get a DX.

We were offered medication for him but we declined as he can cope with it and so we will not fioll him full of zombie making drugs.

I think if you are worried the first port of call is you GP

Have you tried posting in SN children board? Lots of mums on there with good advice.

I would ask GP for a referral to a paed.
