tummy time - baby falls asleep - is this ok?

is it ok to let my 3 month old baby sleep during tummy time (watching him, obviously). he always falls asleep during tummy time even if he's recently had a nap.

he's more interested in sleeping on his tummy than he is trying to lift his head etc

is this normal? should i be waking him up so he doesn't associate tummy with sleep? i know tummy time is meant for play and 'exercise' but he's just not interested!

Sounds fine to me! My 10 wk old DD also uses tummy time as a relaxation session rather than exercise!

Awww, sounds cute and also safe if you're watching.

My 5 month old DS has always reacted to tummy time as if he was being trained to climb Everest. He puffs and groans and gets worked up.

Is interesting how all babies are different.

My DS slept on his tummy from about 9 weeks when he learned to roll over -i couldnt stop him, once he had learnt he screamed the place down when i turned him to his back again. For some babies it just seems to be a really comfy position.

DD either slept or screamed. Sleeping times were the best!

I wish my DS liked tummy time enough for him to go to sleep. He just struggles for about 10 seconds and then gets very indignant that I am subjecting him to such torture!
