Refusing to get into buggy...just a phase??

Hi there my DD 19 months has refused all weekend to get into buggy, kicking and screaming. I managed to wrestle her into it at one stage but had to take her out again...i know i shouldn;t but we were in a shopping centre and i was mortified. Yesterday took her to tesco and the minute the car stopped she said handy...as in she wanted to hold my hand not go in buggy. I got her into the trolley with the help of a packet of snax.

She's an okay walker but i'm 27 weeks pregnant so i can;t be carrying her when she gets tired etc.

Please tell me you have gone through this and its just a phase... she's very independent..

It is a phase - ds did it and my dd is just starting at 15 months - I've found giving them something to hold just before I get them in the buggy sometimes helps to distract her.

Now of course, her older brother asks to go in the buggy....

Its a phase - the best sort of buggy for this is an umbrella fold as you can hold them in with your knee to get the straps done up when they take a break in the screaming and relax a little. Horrible but true.

Oh and it goes without saying that you cant be inconsistant about it.

We're good, our DD's are growing up too, DD2 is now 1 (as of last week!) and DD1 is in her final year of pre school. wow proper school years for you then, it goes so quickly huh. I'm good friends with 'Nelix2000' now, her DD is doing really well too, she got married in April too!
