I changed my 7 week olds formula from SMA gold to Aptimal Comfort for colic and constipation a couple of weeks ago due to BAD WIND, and his poo's have been runny and green since the change but for the last two days it's been stringy! really watery, yellow and bitty.. and he's does them about every hour not huge ones but everytime i open his nappy theres some and you can here him fart them out is this normal??

By bitty do you mean there's black bits in his nappy?

EdenJayne · 19/07/2010 00:50

no all light yellow the poo has like yellow grains in it and its stringy too..

It's mucus. Does he appear to be in pain? Vomiting?

EdenJayne · 19/07/2010 00:55

nope seems happy enough not in pain..

It does sound OK however for peace of mind I'd pop him to the GP, just so it can be checked.

EdenJayne, sorry I don't have any advice, but can I ask if switching to Aptimal made a difference?

EdenJayne · 20/07/2010 15:17

it's made a difference with his colic he doesn't get it anymore he's still really windy and it makes his poo's quite runny but i defenitly think its worth the change.
