DS is 2 years 9 months.
He keeps saying "no I don't want potty", "I don't like it" "me wears nappies like my baby brother"

Ah!!!!!!!!!!

Done chocolate, stickers etc etc

Shall I just go for it....wet pants and all?

karoleann I know lots who have done it early (age 2.0) and had poo issues, and lots who have done it late with no poo issues. My DS1 was on Movicol for constipation and he has not had a single poo accident since we stopped the medication, I think it working a bit too well!

DD who is 2.6 is better at pooing on potty than weeing, although can't really be bothered with either.

Blimey Egg can't believe how similar our circumstances and experiences are...

Nephew is 4.6yo and still in nappies. He keeps saying he doesn't want to use the potty so his parents aren't forcing the issue. No, he doesn't have special needs or any medical problems that means he can't potty train - he just doesn't want to.

His parents feel that loads of children go to primary in nappies, it's apparently more common than we realise

My ds has just turned 3, been dry for wees since he was 2.1 but major poo issues and I didn't leave it late. He still won't entertain the thought of pooing on the loo or potty. He holds it in for days if needs be until he has a nappy. I am trying to not make a big deal out of it but to be honest I am now wondering if it's a problem.
