DD2 turned 5 in June and since then there has been a noticeable change in her behaviour. She's lashing out, hitting, pushing - twice in the last month we've had letters home from school about her hitting other children.
Have seen her teacher who says she's a bright girl who enjoys school. We agreed between us to have a reward chart system on the go at school and home to help her manage - all going well until yesterday ? another call from school saying she'd been spiteful at playtime. Last night she refused to get in the bath, did everything she could to get my attention ? throwing things on floor, screaming (did my best to ignore so she wasn't playing to an audience). It's almost like she goes into these little mini rages and lashes out IYSWIM.
None of us can fathom out what's going on. We've asked her if anything has happened or is she unhappy about anything but she says she doesn't know. She said last night that no body wants to be her friend and they all hate me, yet her teacher insists that she does have friends and plays nicely with them (until this blip).
Is it worth speaking to a health visitor? Her older sister is at same school and is Miss. Popular ? does that have anything to do with this? Will she get excluded from school? Where has my lovely, cheeky little baby gone? Wail.
