Apologies if I'm posting in the wrong place - this message isn't looking for advice!

My littl'un has been obsessed with this show since she was about 6 months old... She's now 15 months and we have a DVD of it that she watches to wind down before bed. My partner and I know every word of every song and I've often caught myself singing some of them in public, even when she's not with me!

DD is doing pretty well with her speech. She's just today started saying (well, probably copying me!) "How are you?" after saying "Hello", but for some reason she always refers to 3rd and Bird and/or Muffin as "Ding Ding"! lol I'm loving how she seems to learn something new every day.

did you have a question?

Nettiespagetti · 13/07/2010 07:34

We love 3rd and bird too! We all Dh included run to
the rug and do the 3rd bird dance when it comes
on. Even when visitors are in!

Sorry, I didn't realise this board was just for questions. I'm new here and can't seem to delete the post...

3rd and Bird is HORRIBLE. All that blathering about the "community". The songs are sub sixth form musical theatre shite.

Welcome to mumsnet though!

Chunkamatic · 13/07/2010 09:10

Well I like 3rd and Bird, but then I'm quite partial to a show tooon!

Unfortunately DS1's obsession is with Thomas the Tank Engine... sooooo dull! I severly limit how much he watches, not for his development but for my sanity!

Butterpie · 13/07/2010 09:13

Oh, I love show tunes! Just good ones though...

I hate it when children's programmes use baby talk too.

I'm possibly a miserable old bat...

Shaun the sheep ROCKS!!!! We have sky plused and series linked it :-)

Mine are just totally obsessed about Zing Zillas at the mo. They can quite impress people though when some music come on and my DS 3.5 says I think that is Scat music or Trad Jazz! He said that to my Mum her jaw just dropped!

Poppet45 · 13/07/2010 20:21

Oh god I HATE third and bird. If the whole country ends up speaking sodding cockney stage school brat in the future we know why. Awful. And the Zing zillas theme tune has burrowed its way into my brain.... argh. Poor DS I keep switching over to News 24 instead. He's going to have awfully good general knowledge for a 10 month old.
