For a friend - Fyfe?

A friend of mine wanted me to post this on here and see what reactions it got. I love it personally, but she's not completely sure yet. Her surname is one syllable but it works for some reason. She was born and raised in Fife so she likes that connection, and it's also her father's middle name.

Yes, bananas do spring to mind..

Even without the banana connection I'm not keen.

My 5 year old DS is Fyfe - we get lots of positive comments on his name. It appealed to me immediately and I still absolutely love it now. We have two syllable surname and my husbands parents are Scottish so we had the connection too.

I not a great fan of place names as people-names. Even places that were names after people/characters (like Paris). Or occupations. Thinking of that, what about Cooper?

Ooh I like it

And it goes quite well with our surname... hmmm maybe if DC2 is a boy...

SherbetDibDab · 06/07/2010 13:02
