I was totally set on Madeleine for DD2 but I am now getting cold feet as I have realised I am not at all keen on Maddy and I guess it is possible that she may want to use this.

Could you please help me find a different name? (DD1 is Kitty).

I liked Madeline too but also didn't like that it would get shortened to Maddy or Mads. I've just got my husband to agree to another 'M' name that i really liked though, Miranda. I think people have come up with some nice suggestions on this thread.

Thank-you! I'm really loving some of these names especially Miranda (I love Mirry for short, what a shame it's not short for Madeleine!), Thea, Meredith, Iris and Clementine.

And Mimi as a nn for Madeleine now that's an idea...
