Tobin/Kellan for a boy?

DP and I have already decided on Amethyst for a girl (nn Ammy) to go with our 12yo's name (Jade). Where we fall down is boys names. We have a loose sort of 'theme' in as much as my 8yo is called Logan, my 6.5yo is called Ayden, and my angel baby (sb at 19+5 in 2008) was called Korben. So as you can see, we are looking for another semi-unusual name ending in either an 'on'/'an'/'in'
/'en'/'yn' sound. (my 8yo's brother with his dad and step-mum is called Talyn, so following the same sort of 'theme' as well!). I quite like either Kellan or Tobin, could you give honest opinions on those, and maybe some other suggestions that follow that sort of 'theme' please?. TIA.

Hi,

I think Kellan is lovely but Tobin just reminds me of Peter Tobin the murderer and I don't think I would be the only one... sorry....

CardyMow · 30/06/2010 14:13

OH I hadn't thought of that! That crosses that one off the list then!

I've got a friend with a Kaylam, so Khalon is too close. Though Torin/Torrin sounds nice...

I really like Tobin. And have never heard of Peter Tobin (but I'm probably just ignorant )

not so keen on Kellan.

agree with wickedfairy.

it isn't one of those names that is going to fade from public awareness any time soon, sadly

JennyPiccolo · 01/07/2010 10:36

i thought of peter tobin right away as well.

PadmeHum · 01/07/2010 10:43

We have a 9 year old Caelan (gaelic pr. kellan).

It's now shortened to Cael (pr. Kell).

sophiesmummie · 01/07/2010 11:02

I like Tobin as well.

I also like Quentin (especially if the baby is your fifth!)

Kathleen123 · 01/07/2010 12:24

I like Tobin

Love your girls's choice, Amethyst.

Of the boys' choices, I like Tobin and Quentin.
