Any thoughts on these three names? I am leaning towards Benjamin because I think Ben is a classic lovely name....but honestly I change my mind every 5 minutes!

Love Harry but already have a William, so not for me.
Like Benjamin but prefer Benedict as full name, Ben a good NN.
Love Ted and Ned, but can't get to love Edward, much though I would like to.

All nice though

Love Edward and Henry (but don't like Harry).
Not keen on Benjamin.

diplodoris · 25/06/2010 17:11

Edward is my favourite of your choices. Not keen on Benjamin. I like Henry (not so keen on Harry). Do you like other Ed- names like Edmund or Edwin? Or other classic names like William, Charles or Samuel?

All great names - you've just named my cat, my brother and DS2!

emmyloo2 · 25/06/2010 17:21

diplodoris - I don't mind Edmund or Edwin but prefer Edward as it's my father's and grandfather's name. I like William and Samuel but we had a dog called Samuel and our surname has lots of "S" in it!

Also on the list is Nicholas, Evan and Thomas. What do you think of those? I love Thomas but it is SOOO popular.

Dislike Edward and there are too many young Edwards where I live, maybe why I don't like it.

diplodoris · 25/06/2010 18:09

I like Evan and Nicholas. Thomas is OK, although I prefer the other two.

Have you thought of a middle name?

Jojay · 25/06/2010 18:26

Emmylou - in that order! Cat is Harry, DB is Benjamin (Ben) and DS2 is Edward (Ed)

LittleSilver · 25/06/2010 18:56

Harry is sooooo unoriginal

DanJARMouse · 25/06/2010 18:58

Benjamin is one of my favourites.

Harry is also very cute.

Edward be a last choice for me, I dont like "Ed" or "Eddie" but I can cope with Ben!

mybootsaremuddy · 25/06/2010 19:01

Harry is very popular where i live i know of 4 all under a year and DS1 has 2 in his class.
I love Nicholas we had this on our list for DS2. Benjamin was also on our list but i find Ben quite harsh sounding for a baby/toddler so we would have used Benny as nn and switcedh to Ben when older.

I would say either Benjamin or Edward. I really like Harry too but it is very popular at the moment. I'm not sure wether that would bother you or not ? Lovely choice of names though.
