Cameron for a boy- has it been ruined by new PM?!

Hi all, what do you think- will we get castigated by our left-leaning friends for calling our baby Cameron following the election of the new PM? We liked the name previously (Scottish roots and all that) but now wondering whether to ditch it from the shortlist....

Penguin - I like Campbell but my boyfriend won't have any of it... given the history of the Campbells et al (Glencoe massacre)!

5dollarshake - I've spent all my life trying to teach people how to pronounce my Scottish gaelic maiden name - I'm going with Cameron because you've got to be a real fucknut not to know how to pronounce it!

Only if you have David anywhere near it IMO.

Although IIRC you're an expat so you might run slightly more risk of people making the connection. I have a good friend working in Japan at the moment who is constantly being asked if she's named after the Queen.
