Middle name for Rose...

Five weeks till our first DC is due to arrive. We have found boys names easier to select somehow.

For a girl we are struggling a bit. Favourites of either me or DH we cant agree on include Hazel, Abigail and Elizabeth.
I know Rose is a popular middle name but we may agree it as a first name if only we can come up with a nice middle name that fits between it and our two syllable surname which begins with a C.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance

Lovely to see Rose being used as a first name for a change - it is beautiful. I would go for something long and pretty for a middle name.

Rose Evangeline
Rose Clementine
Rose Florence
Rose Gerogiana
Rose Juliette
Rose Harriet
Rose Josephine
Rose Seraphine
Rose Alexandra
Rose Lucinda

From your favourites my choice would be Rose Elizabeth. Sorry, don't like Hazel or Abigail.

Hooray for Rose winning a first name spot!

I would suggest a longer middle name that is not too flowery.

Any family names?

Glad you like the idea of Rose as a first name.

Family names we might like to use are Louisa or Elizabeth. With Rose, Elizabeth works better of the 2 but having a vowel as a middle initial became a slight problem for me when I got married so don't know if I could do that to DC1 !

Liking Harriet and Lucinda. Will run past DH later.

Wondering if maybe Rose is such a strong first name there is no need for a middle one! But I would be a bit sad not to give two names somehow.

Oh our baby due mid july would have been 'Rose Elizabeth' if he'd been a girl! I love that name. Also thought about Rose Anabelle, or Rose Evelyn but you were trying to avoid an 'E' initial...

meadowlarks · 23/06/2010 18:31

Rose Arabella Evelyn Elizabeth was top of my list if you like multiple middle names.

Aurelia I think goes very nicely with Rose.

Favourite of yours is Elizabeth.

Or Katharine, Emily or Maria/Marie are all lovely too.

Inspirachion · 24/06/2010 09:57

Ahh Emily think that could be it!
