I have a toddler Martha
But then I like 'old' names, and was considering Iris, so perhaps don't listen to me...

I don't really like the old lady/old man names but Martha is nice. (Mabel, though? )

Eglu · 22/06/2010 20:38

It is a nice name but very popular these days. As long as you don't mind her being one of 3 in her class.

We have a baby Martha. For me it's one of the few nice female Biblical names.

Patsy99 · 23/06/2010 09:29

One of my favourites - soft sounding but not cutesy, suits both a girl and an adult woman. Sort of class-less too which I like.

I love Martha!

I have a Martha Rose, I love the name martha. pg again and really struggling to think of a girls name I like as much....

scottywooh · 29/06/2010 22:40

Seriously, was going with Martha until I thought "Madeleine (DD1) & Martha" on Xmas cards sounded too twee, so opted for Robyn. To this day (6 yrs on) she wishes I hadn't changed my mind !

RobynLou · 30/06/2010 20:48

scottywooh my names Robyn and I have a Martha!

I didn't like being a Robyn when I was little, but I love it now, although explaining to everyone I'm Robyn not Robin is a little tiresome! I always say I'm 'Robyn with a Y' and have had people then writing Yobin and Robiyn..........

plaggycheese · 01/07/2010 07:08

Love it, very pretty but kind of classic aswell. Go for it!!!

scottywooh · 01/07/2010 21:22

Rachiesparrow · 02/07/2010 09:24

My DD (six months) is Martha Rose too - she's amazingly cheerful and sunny. I think it suits her down to the ground.
