Names for "Pig" in other languages for a girl?

Are there any affectionate or classy names for a girl which mean 'Pig' that people can think of?

I have a thread here which is my boy's name thread, so it might be nice to stick with my muppet theme. Miss Piggy could always just be a nickname.

I'm not totally decided on this for a girl's name, but I think it's worth investigating. Miss Piggy did not have the same character qualities that I admire in Kermit.

The latin is Porcus, apparently. Which is a bit likme Dorcas, which is getting more popular, so it could work- but would Porcusina be prettier? There must be other languages which might yield some gems though, if anyone has heard of any?

I'm sorry to say this but you are seriously deranged.

If you aren't living under a bridge right now, waiting for some billy goats, I feel seriously sorry for your poor child. You seriously want to call your son after a frog or your daughter after a pig! I? I think you need to wake up and smell the coffee!

math you beat me to it! I got a giggling fit when I heard that the Irish for pig was muc. That really tickled my funny bone

Has nobody said 'cerdo' Spanish for pig?!

That has two meanings. One just pig, and the second, is gross or offensive. Like if a hideous flasher's willy stinks you might say ay que cerdo. It's all SO Unfair to poor pigs really!

You could use the World Cup year as inspiration, Vark is Afrikaans for pig.

As Muc is pig in Irish, you could call her Mucín (Pr muckeen) which means 'little pig'.

Mochyn is welsh for pig.

Schwein is pig in German. A female pig is a Sau.

Is this serious, though?

doubt it, sonnie - although the previous thread where the OP was thinking of Kermit for her putative DS probably was!
