Im 24 weeks expecting a boy. I always liked the name Noah but family arent keen on it. Now dh and I are desperate to find a name that we both like. What do you think of Mateo? Honest opinions please!

Prefer Noah. Stick with it if you and DH both like it. Your family will get used to it v quickly once they meet the little chap.

Also prefer Noah. Have you considered Mathias?

Love Noah its gorgeous and your family will soon learn to love it once he arrives and it suits him. If i were you i would use decoy names that they really don't like and then when he arrives and is Noah they will be pleasantly surprised! I am on 3rd baby and have learnt my lesson re names the hard way lol

Mateo is lovely but if you love Noah then go with that or you'll live to regret it.

I like Mateo very much, but only if you have the heritage (spanish?) to back it up.

Noah is a lovely name

We are both portuguese so i guess Matteo would suit. You are all right, it's about what we like and not what the family think. Should have kept the name a secret until the baby is born.

Stick with the name you love. Matteo is lovely but so is Noah.

Both of our mothers were not wild about the name we chose (mine hid it better than my husband's mother, I might add) but as soon as he was born (the first grandbaby on both sides), it was a complete non-issue!

Love the name Noah, would love to use it if my friend's little boy was not called Noah. When you say "family", who doesn't like it?? Should be up to you and DH!

Your child, your choice. They will get used to it.
