Jemima or Jessica; Benjamin, Adam or Thomas

If you were going to choose one boy and one girl's name, which ones do you like the best out of the above? We're trying to narrow down our shortlist, but haven't found a name we're sure we really love.

If you don't like any of these names, would you mind letting me know why?

Adam and Jessica lovely

Jemima and Benjamin.

Dislike Jessica, but only because I knew a bad one. Adam and Thomas are also nice, but I just prefer Benjamin.

Benjamin is lovely (I have one ) He is always known as Benjamin as well which is useful with 4 Bens in his class.

Not that keen on Jessica although not sure why. Jemima quite unusual (in a good way)

Benjamin and Jemima are my favourites but all are lovely names - great choices.

Prefer Jessica to Jemima. Also like Jennifer and Juliet.

I like Adam best of your boys' names.

for some reason, I find Thomas really dull, but obviously lots of other people like it.

Nothing against Jessica or Adam, both are perfectly nice, but I don't think WOW!

Adam is one of those names that I have never liked - tis boring, but I dont know why - an irrational dislike!

Thomas is ok

Benjamin is lovely - but do not like Ben.

DS is Benjamin (known as Benjy mostly) Thomas - so I would obviously vote for those!

I really like Jessica, would have been on our list for a girl - Jessy is a sweet nn.

Jemima - Jem or Mimi as nn - gorgeous. Jessica is dull.

DS is Benjamin aka Benjy, Benjo, Benjo-Boo, Benjy-Boo, Boo and Boo Boo. So I'd go for that one!

And definitely Jemima - absolutely love that name. So pretty and different without being 'too different'. Still considering it for our little girl due soon as well. Jessica I do find a little dull also but it is a pretty name

Thank you! At the moment Jemima and Benjamin are my favourite names, and Jessica and Benjamin are my husband's favourites, with possibly a throw in of Oliver.

Please can you recommend some middle names to go with Jemima, Jessica, and Benjamin?

We can't have Rose or Grace, though I like them as middle names.

Well I think Jemima Alice works well, especially if your surname is short.

Ben, Tom and Oliver are very very popular names. No problem if this doesnt bother you but recently two different frends who have baby Toms and Olivers respectively have said they didnt realise quite how popular these names were and they would have rethought if they had known.
