But what formal name would you suggest?

If you don't like it at all any suggestions please?

My other girls are Rosie and Lucy

It's a variant of Sarah.

LuluF · 01/06/2010 11:30

Sally is lovely. I've known some lovely grown up Sallies - I think it works for a child and an adult.

Isn't it a version of Sarah? But I think it's acceptable as a name in its own right, too.

detoxdiva · 01/06/2010 11:35

It's a perfectly acceptable name in it's own right y'know.....

Sithmummy · 01/06/2010 11:37

I know it as a short form of Salena/Selina, but usually a version of Sarah.

Eglu · 01/06/2010 11:40

Sally by itslef is fine. Especially as you have a Rosie and Lucy. Which I'm assuming aren't short for Rosemary or Lucinda.

Hedwig3 · 01/06/2010 11:48

I LOVE the name Sally just as it is and it is very underused I feel.

swanandduck · 01/06/2010 11:48

I think Sally on it's own is lovely. As already said, it's normally short for Sally.

swanandduck · 01/06/2010 11:48

Assgh, I meant 'short for Sarah'.

asdx2 · 01/06/2010 12:37

That's it then Sally it is just been asked often what it was short for when I mention it.
