What do you think of these. My sons have quite unusual OT names, so don't know if they will fit as they are quite a mixed bag!

Desmond
Cedric
Douglas
Dougal
Ptolomy
Shem (still!)

All been considered over the years and i am finding myself revisiting them, especially Desmond and Cedric.

I like Ptolemy [sp?]

theagedparent · 31/05/2010 14:32

Desmond, Cedric and Dougal are great

capstone · 31/05/2010 15:15

Desmond - Des O' Connor
Cedric - no
Douglas - don't like much
Dougal - like this best from your list
Ptolomy - would spell Ptolemy
Shem - like, a nice change from Noah

Dougal Shem or Ptolemy Shem would be great

I love them all, my favourites are Cedric and Shem. But they're all lovely and refreshingly different .

went to school with a ptol - he was one of the coolest guys there.

tummytickler · 31/05/2010 19:45

Ptolemy - of course . I can spell it - honest!
Any more opinions?

I like Dougal and Douglas. Not sure about Shem? Sounds like Sham. What about Bruce? Ptolemy is horrible and wouldn't fit in with your family.

BrigitteBardot · 31/05/2010 20:20

Douglas and Dougal.

suspiria · 31/05/2010 23:51

I love Ptolemy and Shem.
Dougal/Desmond are interesting names.
Douglas/Cedric I'm not so keen

Wonderstuff · 01/06/2010 10:57

I love Ptolemy and Shem and Cedric. Would Ptolemy get abbreviated? What to i wonder?

Very interesting (currently stuck for boys names myself)
