Linden - meh
Christy - yes
Carrick - possibly
Kay - nope
Kerry - too feminine

Tidey · 25/05/2010 16:40

Sorry, I don't like any of them. If I had to choose one, it'd be Linden, but I'm really not that fond of it. No offence intended.

autodidact · 25/05/2010 16:40

All horrid.

thumbwitch · 25/05/2010 16:42

not doing too well today, are you TheFatOWl?

Nope, don't like any of them for a boy but would think about Christy and Kerry for a girl (not Kay, tis my MIL's name)

Linden is the only one I would even remotely consider for a boy.

tammytoby · 25/05/2010 16:45

Another vote for Linden.

jellybeans · 25/05/2010 16:49

All horrid, sorry.

LetThereBeRock · 25/05/2010 16:50

I don't like any of them.

swanandduck · 25/05/2010 16:51

Linden - No
Christy - Prefer Chris or Christopher
Carrick - Awful
Kay - Girl's Name
Kerry - Girl's Name

curlygurly · 25/05/2010 16:51

Don't like any sorry! x

TheFatOwlOfTheRemove · 25/05/2010 16:52

Christy and Kerry are Irish boys' names - not that uncommon there, my dad sat next to a male Kerry at primary school

they're unisex really

I like Linden because it means lime trees

dh likes Carrick, I'm not sure

and Kay would be after the boy in The Snow Queen

I'm not even pg but we are considering it... so naturally I need to finalise name choices, just in case

Like Linden. Dislike the rest, sorry.

swanandduck · 25/05/2010 16:54

Well, I'm Irish born and bred and I have never, ever heard of a boy called Kerry.
Most Christys would be middle aged dads by now.

TheFatOwlOfTheRemove · 25/05/2010 16:54

Kerry Dixon - superstar Chelsea player

Ah, I knew of Christy Brown and knew it was an Irish boy's name (still sounds too girly to my English ears though) - are you in Ireland then, TheFatOwl?

swanandduck · 25/05/2010 16:55

Yes, but you said the name is not uncommon in Ireland. Believe me, it is!!

Lulumaam · 25/05/2010 16:58

you might have a girl !

janeite · 25/05/2010 17:00

Not fond of any of them but would choose Kay over the rest, if I had to because of the vague link with K in 'The Castle'.

morethanyoubargainfor · 25/05/2010 17:03

I LOVE linden although i really don't think you should use is, as it is MY name it is not meant for anyone else to use .

You have my permission to use any of the others though! .

Shodan · 25/05/2010 17:03

Don't really like any of them but possibly would choose Carrick, if I had to choose one.

Sorry.
