OOh I love Martha- what a nice name. I think Martha Rose has a nice ring to it.

curlygurly · 24/05/2010 20:11

Martha Rose
or maybe Martha Eve?

If this baby was a girl, she'd have been Martha Maude Am having a second DS though.

I don't like Martha Louise, I'm afraid. And hasn't every girl in the land got Rose as a middle name at the moment? Martha Elizabeth would be the one I'd pick from your list, but I think I might try to be a bit more adventurous if I were you

I always like to think of someone special to me as a middle name-family member/friend e.g. my son's middle name is William after my brother -does that help? /grandfather, dh's father's middle name too.

This baby will have his Daddy's name as middle name or if a girl my grandmother's name as middle name.

Middle name not that relevant in day to day life so nice if it has some meaning the family/friends can think of I think.

Does that help?

Martha Anne is nice. As is Martha Jane.
Rose is lovely but tremendously overused at the moment.
Martha Alice
Martha Lynn

SillyTillyBilly · 24/05/2010 21:55

Martha Ruth came to mind for me

lou4791 · 24/05/2010 22:03

Martha Elizabeth was going to be my girl name when I had my baby last year. Beautiful name. But I had my gorgeous son, and named him Arthur. So even if i'm lucky enough to have another baby, and it's a girl, I can't use the name - an Arthur and a Martha is a little bet silly. Martha Rose is lovely too.

sunnydelight · 25/05/2010 06:32

Martha Anne is the best name ever

multimummy · 25/05/2010 06:39

Martha Mae?

liliputlady · 25/05/2010 07:54

I like all three of your middle name choices; Louise really pretty and less used than Rose at the moment.

Disenchanted3 · 25/05/2010 07:56

Focker?

Gorgeous choice of name! If we'd had a girl she would have been a Martha, and I'd liked either Elizabeth or Merryn as middle names. Rose goes beautifully with Martha too.

Martha was on our shortlist if DS had been a girl. We considered Martha Rose but that's two Dr Who assistants...
In the end, we decided on Martha Josephine.

I saw the title and straight away thought Martha Rose before reading the thread. But then I realised it may be a bit Doctor Who related (not a bad thing).

Still sounds lovely though as long as you live somewhere where th is pronounced th not f.
