coming back to an old favourite of mine - Jethro. I think I am starting to love it again.
What do you think? A trendy 'J' name or is it nice?
Family name will be family name possibly Reuben or Josiah.

I'm sorry, I just can't get past the idea of a beardy Cornish comedian.

thirtysomething · 15/05/2010 21:10

Have only known one who was a very snooty, self-important kind of bloke so even though it's a nice name has bad connotations for me, sorry.

sapell3 · 15/05/2010 21:46

Jethro Tull

TooManyChislers · 15/05/2010 21:48

oh. I need another few years before I am ready for this.

I love Leo, Jago, Hugo, Bruno. I quite like Milo and Theo. Bu Jethro seems a bit inbred. Like his own nephew, somehow.

mitfordsisters · 15/05/2010 21:52

Too agricultural, sorry. What about Seth?

TooManyChislers · 15/05/2010 21:53

lol at too agricultural. Yes I can see the barley hanging out of Jethro's mouth.

thinker · 15/05/2010 21:58

Everyone will think of the Cornish man with the beard.

TheDailyWail · 15/05/2010 22:57

Jethro was the owner of the pair of boxers I wore on my hen night.

Jethro = disgusting 'blue' inbred comedian
or

Bluesy Folky Dad Band

Either way not good imo.

pixiestix · 17/05/2010 14:52

Yep I would immediately think of the comedian, even though his real name is Jeffrey and not Jethro at all.

ChickensNeedOpposableThumb · 17/05/2010 14:54

Hmmm. Not sure. Jet as a nickname would be cool, though.
