My sister mentioned this as a possible name for her unborn baby (sex unknown). Wondered what other people thought of it?

Can't say I've heard of any Stacys lately. Is it a dated name?

rocketupbum · 12/05/2010 20:37

I have a couple of v v cool pals called Stacy and don't watch eastenders so I love it!! I don't like Anastasia tho!

Magaly · 12/05/2010 20:38

I liked it before Eastenders. so maybe I still like it deep down. I'm not sure.

BallpointPen · 12/05/2010 20:40

Stacy Slater ice skater.

Immediately Eastenders connotation.

I wouldn't use it.

mathanxiety · 12/05/2010 20:47

I really don't like it. It's very dated.

Anastasia is so much nicer.

5inthebed · 12/05/2010 20:54

Yes, I thouht it was dates. I know three Stacy/Staceys, all in their 20/30s.

Dsister does like "older" names.

bruffin · 12/05/2010 21:07

My 20yr old niece is Stacey. It's nice as a nickname for Anastasia.
I thought the Stacy spelling was for a man ie nickname for Eustace or actor Stacy Keach

5inthebed · 12/05/2010 21:07

Don't apologise, it isn't a name I'd use either, just wanted to get the eel for it iykwim.

Not keen as I knew a Stacy and she wasn't very nice. Sounds very like Tracy to me.

AndieWalsh · 13/05/2010 15:22

It's a Tracy/Sharon name, for me. Very dated.

swanandduck · 13/05/2010 17:16

Bit chavvy. Definitely reminds me of Eastenders.

FrazzleRock · 13/05/2010 17:18
