Im not fussed on Caiden prefer Caleb.

hungysavingexpertdotcom · 10/05/2010 19:04

Caleb is nice. Caiden sounds common. Does it mean something?
Reuben? Jasper?

eastendmummy · 10/05/2010 19:05

Caleb, I have one and love the name. It's not similar to Jacob although both names are old testament if that affects your decision?

CuppaTeaJanice · 10/05/2010 19:06

Caleb sounds classier.

The problem with Caiden is when you shout it out in the park people will assume you mean 'Kayden', and that name seems to have negative connotations, particularly on mn.

yummymummie1 · 10/05/2010 19:10

yes i agree i am not keen on it being Kayden at all i like that caleb is the same origin as jacob so it doesnt put me off

Caiden is arabic for 'companion' apparently x

Caiden sounds a bit made up to me. I like Caleb though, think it goes nicely with Jacob.

mathanxiety · 10/05/2010 19:12

Just not Caiden.

Gracie123 · 10/05/2010 19:13

Caleb, but I'm biased as it's DS middle name

muggglewump · 10/05/2010 19:13

Neither, but Caleb if you must.

Caiden is absolutely no.

booyhoo · 10/05/2010 19:14

prefer caleb but it means 'dog' so that would put me off tbh

Greensleeves · 10/05/2010 19:14

yummymummie1 · 10/05/2010 19:15

Caiden a name that can be traced back to Welsh and old English. Not made up, not new.

bigstripeytiger · 10/05/2010 19:27

I like both.

yummymummie1 · 10/05/2010 19:30

magic mountain - thanks for that on a website i was on it sed it was arabic for 'companion' ? do u like it tho???

OP posts:
muggglewump · 10/05/2010 19:31

Because it's chavtastoc. You did ask and if I'm honest, your spelling is not helping me think that a chav name is the way to go.

gingerbaby · 10/05/2010 19:31

Caleb is a lovely, lovely name. Think it goes well with Jacob. It was on the shortlist for DS and now you've reminded me I might put it back on if we have another boy.
