I love it. I've always loved it. What kind of rude woman slags off another child's name in front of the mother anyway

It's a lovely name.

Magaly · 07/05/2010 20:42

I like it. I wouldn't have chosen it myself but it's a refreshing change from the most popular names that double up.

I would have spelt it Robin though. I'd be worried a girl called Robin might be big, and seem more like a crow!!

Loads of people hate my children's names! ONce I saw somebody do a line of "no !!!" to my son's name, and they had cut and pasted the NO about four hundred times! it was funny!

Exogenesis · 07/05/2010 20:42

I'm not sure she knows its DD's name We havn't been for ages and she is a "newbie" It just pissed me off a little but, i'm suffering major PMT sorry tmi

Oh that's brilliant. She will be horrified when she realises! Fantastic... And you can be all calm, serene and understanding. Tee hee!

Sorry about your PMT - I'm a maniac when I'm PMT-ing.

Sounds like the barbecue I went to when a pregnant person went into a long rant about how she didn't mind what her baby was going to look like, as long as it wasn't GINGER, because that's just DISGUSTING, then started backpedalling as soon as she noticed my (ginger) DD. People can be so thoughtless, can't they?

I like Robyn - it's the name of one of my best mates. She's always enjoyed being called it, I think, because it's unusual but not outlandish.

theagedparent · 07/05/2010 20:49

My cousin has just had a little Robyn, beautiful name.

Exogenesis · 07/05/2010 20:50

at the rude rude women slagging off ginger hair. Roras slightly ginger in the light sort of strawnberry blonde and its lovely

I think Robyn is lovely - as others have said it's unusual but not off the wall.

JosephineClaire · 07/05/2010 21:11

Robyn and Rora are both LOVELY!

carrotsarenottheonlyvegetable · 08/05/2010 12:08

at someone slagging off a hair colour (why??). Robyn is very pretty.

Rockbird · 08/05/2010 16:30

Robyn is lovely. Robin, however, is a boy's name.

Mumcah · 08/05/2010 18:16

I love the name Robyn.

Names always get slagged off,my DD is Darcey and that is called 'chav' on a thread on here.Hurtful but would be worse if I heard it in real life at a playgroup.

halfawake · 09/05/2010 20:44

Good for you that you took it on the chin - Robyn is cute name, nothing wrong with it at all!
