3 weeks to go and no names yet
We don't know what sex baby will be so need both.
Our 3 year old is Lily. Didn't realise this was as popular as it seems to be now, so something a bit different would be nice. If it's a girl, middle name will be Maguerite after my Gran or if it's a boy, Samuel after Dad. Any suggestions welcomed. Would quite like shortish first names!

If you are after something unusual, I'd avoid Holly/Hollie Evie/Eva/Ava Isobel and Naeve.

How about Camile Maguerite
Suran
Seren
Sarah
Clarabel
Christabel
Ada
Dulcie
Venice

Actually, I quite like Maguerite as a first name.

Yes you do sound totally addicted but not to worry eh. For me it was sushi, which I did have once, wine which a had for or five time and snickers. Totally avoided peanuts with first DC but just couldn't resist with no 2

The more I think about this thread the more I love Maguerite as a first name.

Thank you! Much food for thought. Yes, I really like Marguerite (sorry missed out and r originally) as a first name too, not sure why we are avoiding that. I guess it can be shortened in many ways and I even think Pearl is a nn for it.
Hmmm.... Wine would be nice but at the moment wine is instant heartburn material.

CakeandRoses · 10/05/2010 17:42

sorry, meant another vote

GladioliBuckets · 10/05/2010 17:52

Definitely Marguerite for first name, Maggie/Mimi for short? Then you'll have two flower names (if that's not anathema to you.)

How about another planty/nature one for a boy? Flick back few pages on the baby name board, there were a couple of threads on these last week.

flintski · 10/05/2010 21:11

As someone who has a dd who is a maggie and a friend who calls her marguerite for fun - I really love marguerite - go for it as a first name!
