Hi,

My husband and I are expecting our first baby in October.

What do you think of Blake Christopher for a boy and Sofia Grace for a girl?

Sofia Grace is OK, Christopher is nice, but really not keen on Blake I am afraid, but then if you have seen my threads recently you will know not to trust my opinion .
Really like Christopher as a fn though, with nn Kit.

KERALA1 · 04/05/2010 14:58

Ohhh really agree about Christopher nn Kit - lovely.

Dont really like Blake - for me it conjures up Blake Carrington from Dynasty so can't take it seriously. Your girls name is nice but both very popular baby girls names round here which isnt if a problem if you are ok with that.

mathanxiety · 04/05/2010 15:00

I love Christopher as a first name too, and love Sofia Grace (and I like the F in Sofia).

oceryo · 04/05/2010 15:56

Sofia Grace is a lovely name. I do prefer Sophia spelling.

Not really so keen on Blake.

GetOrfMoiLand · 04/05/2010 15:58

I think Chistopher Blake sounds nicer, tbh.

Sofia Grace is lovely, however use the Sophia spelling (dd is a Sophia, so am biased ).

bronze · 04/05/2010 15:58

Both nice
Sofia always seems to have Grace as a middle name thats my only misgiving but really it just confirms people liek the combo

jellybeans · 04/05/2010 18:53

Lovely

Doozie · 05/05/2010 15:18

Congratulations on your pregnancy.

Sorry, not keen on Blake - to me it's a surname. Christopher is good.

Sofia is beautiful. I have to admit Sofia Grace is nice combo even though I personally don't like Grace and it just seems to be a default middle name.

Love Christopher but really don't like Blake.

I like the names but when I said Blake Christopher the 'ck' sounds ran together and it sounded more like Blay Christopher.
