Should Theo be Theodore on the birth certificate?

I am due in 9 weeks. I love Theo, but I am struggling to get past the Chipmunks theme tune thanks to my younger sister. (Alvin, Simon, Theodore...)

Also - does Theodore Christopher work? Is Max Christopher better?

Help!

I don't think there is anything wrong with using the shortened version on the bc if that is the name you are choosing.

My Theo is Theodore on his birth cert. As it's turned out, we mostly call him Ted or Teddy anyway.

A prime minister called Theo would be fab IMO! I don't think that's the issue. (Nobody felt the need to say Anthony Blair, after all.) But Ted and Teddy are great too, and Theodore would give him more options, as people have said. All the best for the birth anyway

There was Teddy Roosevelt in the US he was a Theodore.
