What do you think of Syd?

What do you think of Syd as a boy's name?

I want to love Sid/Sidney, but it sounds like kidney and I cant get past that.
Really dislike the Syd spelling.
Prefer Stanley, but think Stanley is going to get very popular soon judging from recent babies born/toddlers at group.

Cool! We've toyed with the idea of Syd as our baby's name (after Syd Barrett as well!) but haven't decided for sure yet. If you love it, go for it!
