Ellie can be short for.......

DD is due in 4and a bit weeks and DH would dearly love her to be an Ellie. I want her to have a Sunday best name too (just so I have something to yell when she misbehaves!)

We have the following on our list of possibles:

and on the not Ellie list we have Natasha and Katya so a varied selection.

Any other suggestions on Ellie names? We will wait until she arrives before naming her but would love a list of possibles.

Elliot - I know a girl called this, and Ellie for short, even though I always thought it was a male name. Really suits her too!

I met an Ellora (sp?) the other day aged about 8 and thought it was quite nice. Not sure how it was spelt - I guess it could have been Elora or Eleora. Pronounced Laura with an elle at the beginning of it. Could be another option for Ellie.
